Multifandom Fics (Buffy, Angel, Spartacus, Xena, Firefly)

Here's a section of some of my female driven fic this year.

Starshine (Cordy & Lilah, future, PG13)

Two agents of good and evil meet at a sanctuary by the sea.

Song of Selene (Historical Slayer, pre-series, G)

A ancient Greek saga about a slayer in the Age of Heroes.

The Limitless Horizon (Inara & Zoe, post-BDM, G)

Silence reigned as the heavens poured and Inara drifted closer to death.

Lupus Matris (Lucretia, Blood&Sand, PG-15)

Lucretia travels to Rome to be blessed during Lupercalia.

Among the Tigers (Lao-Ma, AR-Xenaverse, R)

Lao Ma couldn't help but smile as she thought about how wondrous and ludicrous the world could be when the daughter of a courtesan could become the supreme master of all Chin.

Recs: four fandoms, seven vid recs

Here are seven of my favorites, vids I found over the years and still rewatch all the time:

Buffyverse
Faith: Living Dead Girl by bradcpu
A powerful, inventive Faith character study. Great choice of song!

Illyria: "Illyria" Opening Credits by illyrium24
The editing is superb, and it really gets the feeling across... Illyria's personal brand of creepy meets badass, demon meets humanity.

Lilah Morgan: without me by sisabet and Dr. Dawn
Evil lawyer issues aside, Lilah Morgan was fun. As is this vid, pure fun to watch.

Buffy Summers: Peacekeeper by sisabet (youtube)
Really beautiful!

Chuck
Sarah Walker: Creator by talitha78
Thrill is to make it up. The song is the perfect choice for Sarah... so perfect, actually, that it was recently used on the show as well.

Stargate Atlantis
Sam Carter: 'Finders' AU credits by sholio
The credits of a fictional 80s-style tv show ("Birds of Prey meets the A-Team") with Sam Carter, Teyla Emmagan, and Jennifer Keller in the lead roles. I love it to bits.
(note: doesn't run in all players, but VLC works fine.)

Princess Tutu
Hold Me Now by Marissa Panaccio
Strangely compelling. I started watching the anime because of this vid.
Tara, Bond

A Buffy Drabble I wrote a while back

Hi,

here's a drabble I wrote back in October 2009. once again, hoping for thoughts and comments; but mainly hoping that those reading will enjoy.

Stranger Among the Living by Kerkevik

  Though I'm...

Still under Willow & Tara's spell,
  Ray.

+ here's the link to the song I've got on at the moment :- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9tfshsN2n8

Doctor Who fics: 'Common Ground' (Rose, Martha, Donna), 'Skipping Stones' (Rose, River) +1 more

Love the idea of this comm! I'm hoping to do some picspams or meta or something for the lovely ladies of Doctor Who at some point, but in the meantime I have some companion-centric fics. Spoilers only up to s4.

Skipping Stones
G; Rose, River (Doctor/Rose and Doctor/River)
Summary: Travelling between worlds to find the Doctor, Rose meets only one person who knows her by name.
Excerpt: The next time she meets River, Rose saves her life.

Common Ground
G; Martha, Rose, Donna
Summary/Excerpt: Rose Tyler, Martha Jones and Donna Noble have one thing in common.

Memorable
G; Adelaide, Donna
Summary: Donna Noble meets an unusually ambitious little girl.
Excerpt: “I’m going to be an astronaut.” She says it so confidently that Donna would be jealous, if it weren’t so ridiculous to be jealous of a ten-year-old.
Lydia lost

Some of my fics...

Hi guys!  Totally adoring this comm btw.

Ok, so like I said in the friending meme, I often use my fic to fill in the blanks or fix the wrongs done to female characters in shows.  Here's a collection of my fic so far that I did like this.

You may notice that even though I rant a lot about the ATROCIOUS use of women in Supernatural, there's only one SPN fic.  This is because there is so damn much to fix I just don't have the time!  I don't write fic very often, and when I do it's rarely over 1,000 words, normally under.  Anyway, here's what I have done...

Self Respect
(Supernatural)  A short poem from Jo Harvelle's POV.  Post S5.  Jo Harvelle never thought she'd say no to Dean, but in the end, all she needed was respect.

The First Time
(Buffy the Vampire Slayer.)  Willow and Tara kiss for the first time, but it's not the first time Willow kissed a girl.  (Willow/Tara, Willow/Cordy)  Nominated for the Willowy Goodness Awards.  (-1,000 words)

The Art of Losing
(Angel, the series.)  Post S4.  Lying comatose, Cordelia tells her story to whoever's listening, the last time she'll have to say her point of view about how she got here. (-1,000 words)

Personal Canon: Cordelia Chase
(Angel)  Follows on from the above fic.  Here, I fix the end of S4.  This is how it should have ended, given the whole Cordelia-is-not-a-victim theme that ran through the entirety of AtS, apart from S4 of course. (-500 words)

Untold Fairytale
(Angel) Basically, Eve gets a personality and backstory.  Post S5.  As she watches the city burn, Eve remembers her relationship with Lindsey and her own eternal life. (a little +1,000 words)

Personal Canon: Eve/Lindsey
(Angel) Doesn't exactly follow on from Fairytale, but this is my opinion of how things should have ended.  And in my mind, they did end this way.  (-500 words)

Moment
(Stargate: Atlantis) Post S3.  This is what would have happened had Elizabeth not been left to the Asurans.  Another fixit fic.  Liz/John.  (-1,000 words)

There are a few more fics, like a Faith/Wes one, and they're linked in my sticky post.  There's also this collection of poems.  I included this because I know a few of you are interested in Greek myth.  This has been unlocked for a brief time, so look now while you can!

threads
Brought together by The Fates, three Greek heroines and anti-heroines come together to tell their part in Theseus' tale.  Featuring Ariadne, Hippolyta and Medea.  (1,500 words)

Hope you enjoy!!

Alice/Jenny Trouble

Fic: And One in a Velvet Gown

Title: And One in a Velvet Gown
Author: nancybrown
Fandoms: Torchwood / Doctor Who
Characters/Pairing: Alice/Jenny
Rating: G
Summary: Drabble. It's strange to wear rich brocade and a gown down to her feet when she's used to fatigues.
AN: This is another installment in a series about Jenny (the Doctor's daughter) and Alice (Jack's daughter) regarding their many adventures kicking ass and taking names in a sulky time machine named Hilda. The rest of the series can be found using this tag.
